Dreaming of…#MMMay14 or ‘How to Avoid Reports’

Hands up who’s loving me made may so far? I am!

It probably helps that I wear me made stuff the majority of the time anyway and that I enjoy a good ole pose, but I think my pledge this year is definitely helping me realise what’s missing in my handmade wardrobe. Plus since starting MMMay this month, I’ve already had a sort out for charity – it’s quickly made me realise that some of the RTW clothing I have, I have in a better version in me made items.

The second realisation (which I mentioned last week) is that I need some PJs. As you may have guessed by the title of this post, it’s report writing time of year again. All you teachers out there will know that this means very little socialising, showering, or getting nicely dressed up more down time with my PJs. (Did a girl ever really need an excuse?!)

So this month I’ve made 3 pairs!
His and Hers versions for the first weekend and Fresh Prince inspired ones for this weekend. Now I can wash one and wear another!

They suit the purpose of being quick – meaning I don’t feel too guilty about not doing work, and mean that I can lounge around all day and still be in me made items!

  1. Your pieces and they way you wear them are always an inspiration! I love the lace collar on your hemlock top! I didn’t know much about MMMAY this year so I couldn’t prepare but I am inspired to participate next year once I have more items made to wear! Keep up the fabulous work.

    • Oh what a lovely comment, thank you! This is the first year I’ve joined in actually and I’m finding it lots of fun – you could unofficially join in for the rest of May. Look forward to seeing your posts next year too!

I'd love to hear what you think...
