Ah a nice simple project in a simple cotton, which doesn’t have a mind of it’s own (unlike that tricky chiffon!). This is the second project I made from the dress shown below.

Literally all I needed to do for this project was to add a waistband, sew a zip, and obviously my new button and loop finishing technique. I think that because it was so simple I had to mess something up, so I cut the waistband a tad too small. It’s staying that way for now as I can just about squeeze into it and I don’t think I’ll wear it until the summer anyway so I’ll make a firm decision then. I’m sure you’ll all agree that there are only so many times that one has the patience to unpick and remake a garment!
